Julie Eason Smith took a non-traditional path in pursuit of a career in law. Right after high school, she worked as a legal secretary and a paralegal for estate planning attorneys. Over the next seven years she met and married her husband, Dan. Placing her law school ambitions on hold, she became a stay at home mom for her fraternal twin sons during their formative years. Following that period, Julie Eason Smith entered the academic arena to earn a degree in law.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith have been married over thirty years. Their sons, Bill and Dave, are both pursuing careers in the performing arts in New York. The Family has lived in Tuscawilla since 1982.

Damaris G. Claude took a traditional path in pursuit of a career in law. Raised on the island of St. Croix, Ms. Claude’s family relocated to the Oviedo area while she was still in elementary school. She attended Stenstrom Elementary, Jackson Heights Middle School, and Oviedo High School and, at the age of 14, befriended Ms. Smith’s sons Bill and Dave and met Ms. Smith. While keeping in touch with Ms. Smith through her sons, she went on to complete her undergraduate and law degree at the University of Florida.

Following her marriage to her high school sweetheart, George, and the birth of their son, Logan, Ms. Claude returned to this area to be near family and begin private practice. She joined this firm in 2006, and is a member of The Florida Bar, Orange County Bar, and Hispanic Bar.

Ms. Claude lives in Geneva with her husband, son, two horses, one dog and one cat, and is an avid equestrian and Gators fan.
